Tammy Baldwin Up for a Good Fight

LGBTQ Nation reports that Tammy Baldwin, having made history in 2012 when elected to the U.S. Senate in 2012 as the first out lesbian, is facing a fight as the Republican party singles her out as one of its main targets.   The GOP makes no bones for wanting to make an example of Baldwin and some of the money aimed at Baldwin is tinged with homophobia.  Groups associated with businessman Richard Uihlein, owner of the printing company Uline, has contributed $4 million to the effort against Baldwin.  A lot can change between now and November, and Democratic turnout is expected to be higher than usual, giving Tammy Baldwin added strength for the fight ahead.
