PFLAG is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQIA+ people and those who love them. PFLAG Door County has been supporting LGBTQIA+ people, and their families since 1997, and was started by Sandy Brown. Open Door Pride has named an award after her: given out each year to celebrate those in Door County who have given the LGBTQIA+ community wings. The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project provides phone, instant messaging, and text services for LGBTQ individuals to communicate with a trained specialist; an online social networking space for youth and their friends and allies in the LGBTQ community; and an online resource center.

Documenting the History of the LGBTQ Community in Wisconsin
Our mission is to reconnect Wisconsin with its lost heritage and hidden history, through ongoing research, presentations, publications, walking tours, and online resources.
Since 1994, the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project has been documenting, preserving and celebrating the heritage of local gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. Today, we are the state’s largest digital repository of LGBTQ media.
