As we prepare for our 5th Annual Pride Festival event Saturday June 26th, we have decided that a virtual event will be the safest way to celebrate. Stay tuned for more details.
Even though last year’s Open Door Pride Festival was cancelled, we still managed to have a prideful moment in Martin Park with a short ceremony. One hundred small Pride Flags were placed throughout the grounds in a beautiful display, including hanging our Pride Ribbon Project. The City of Sturgeon Bay Proclamation naming June as Open Door Pride month was read, and we gave our annual Sandy Brown Award to the visionary Third Avenue Playhouse.
For the entire month of June, a Pride Flag flew for the first time from the Martin Park flagpole. Other municipalities in Door County also flew a Pride Flag for the first time. These are empowering groundbreaking moments that Open Door Pride is initiating for Door County.
We will be repeating this important ceremony in the park on June 26th, and live stream it at noon during our program (11-1pm). Other virtual activities will be musical performances, readings, and much more.

How can you help? Currently, we need funds to produce our virtual event and promote our organization through print and media advertising. Future plans are to develop diversity training for organizations and businesses. Your donation will also be instrumental in helping move us forward to achieve our goals.

We are always looking for friends and allies to join us.
