9th Annual Open Door Pride Festival

June 28 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join us for the 9th Annual Open Door Pride Festival on Saturday, June 28, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Martin Park, just off the Oregon Street Bridge on 3rd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay! This full-day, family-friendly celebration brings the community together through music, art, food, and meaningful moments that uplift the spirit of Pride in Door County.

The day will open with an Indigenous Invocation by Coleen Bins of Chief Oshkosh, followed by a moment of silence led by Ed Dimaio in remembrance of those we’ve lost to AIDS and other causes. Throughout the day, enjoy entertainment from DJ Tim Walters, and don’t miss our very special surprise guest MC, a proud Open Door Pride board member.

On stage, we’ll present several powerful recognitions, including:

The official City Proclamation declaring June as Open Door Pride Month

The Sandy Brown Award, honoring local LGBTQIA+ advocacy

The IDEA Student Scholarship, supporting youth leadership in inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility

Festival activities include:

1. A NEW Art Tent in the Park, led by Claudia Scimeca, featuring interactive art for all ages

2. The What’s My Pride? Project photo exhibit & selfie station

3. The 2nd Annual Student-Designed Skateboard Silent Auction

4. Games in the Park, face painting, and family fun

5. Food trucks, vendors, and local art

6. A 50/50 raffle and final announcements of silent auction winners at 4:45 PM

To cap off the day, look to the sky at nightfall as the Maritime Museum Tower lights up in rainbow colors, a brilliant tribute to the vibrance and visibility of our community.

This event is free and open to all—come as you are, celebrate who you are!
